Subject: Viet Nam

Ok, so my wife is watching TV and they're showing some oriental location and she asks, "Is this Korea?" I listen and they mention a couple landmarks and I say, "No it's Viet Nam."

My daughter who was doing her homework at the time asks, "Viet Nam is a place right?"

"Yes, it's a country" I reply.

"Why would they name it after a war?"

Try answering that one with a straight face.
