Nak dijadikan cerita, pada zaman dahulu, ada seorang lelaki bernama Pak Pandir yang tinggal dihulu sungai di sebuah kampung. Nak dijadikan kisah lagi, tinggallah seorang polis berjiran dengannya. pada petang yang hening itu, berjalanlah Pak Pandir ke kedai untuk membeli kelambu kerana rumahnya terlalu banyak nyamuk. Sekembalinya dari kedai, dipasangnyalah kelambu itu pada katil bagi melindungi dirinya dari nyamuk.

Pada malam itu, datanglah polis si jiran tersebut ke rumah Pak Pandir untuk berborak-borak. Dicari-carinya Pak Pandir tetapi tidak berjumpa. Akhirnya keluarlah Pak Pandir dari bawah katil. Terkejut si polis kerana Pak Pandir tidur kat bawah katil sedangkan di katilnya ada kelambu. Bertanyalah si polis,

Polis: Awatnya tidoq bawah katil?
Pak Pandir: Saja....nak tipu nyamuk.
