extinguished...i dont prefer it, doesnt have as many standout tracks...but i love the short length of it, so many different ideas into such a short space of time makes for a lovely listen...

thanks to an mp3 cd comprised entirely of the cds nicos had that i didnt have, i am currently very proud of half cousin - the function room, micah p hinson and the gospel of progress, and mice parade - obrigado saudide

very glad you like some of the records kels. glad to share the love. recently thanks to amazon i have been listening to joanna newsom - milk eyed mender. a harp is the main focal instrument of the music. never heard it used in such a way before. she has a very weird voice that takes some getting used to but very interesting stuff. also air - moon safari has got alot of listening since its purchase, although makes me wanna have a smoke and can't due to hardcore revision. very relaxing album though. exams are lovely things!

Being a relative newcomer to both the highness of vinyl and this wonderfull website, allow me to give my two cents worth.

During daylight i have mostly been listening to the memory band, by, erm, the memory band, everyday by the cinematic orchestra, high plains drifter by Jehst, and the lost riots by hope of the states. By night however, i run around norwich dressed in black listening to the batman theme.

its safer than you think, no-ones going to mess with batman, noriwch is lacking in supervillains

wise choices there, been very impressed by jehst...

If he was riding a bicycle nobody would be able to see him.
an accident waiting to happen if you ask me.

surely if his bike glowed in the dark then his enemies could see him coming?
but then again, the large bat logo emblazoned into the sky would also surely alert them to the fact that he is on his way.
plus, all his enemies look really stupid and conspicuous, so batman would be able to find them anyway quite easily. as would the general public.
i'm not sure where i'm going with this, but i think its something like batman is a stupid superhero and the penguin and that are stupid villains. and as for that commisioner gordon.

don't forget that he's quite a prolific scientist and businessman as well as being a successful superhero (something that can't be achieved through being stupid)

I think what he and his enemies have are style issues

God, it's all so hard. My new music over the past 6 internetless months has been little more than a trickle, i cry out for more, it's a hole i cannot fill, a wound that just will not heal, everyone talks of such beautiful sounding things, yet i strain to touch it, hope is lost, alone in a silent world, 'shuffle' plays me songs i've heard a thousand times before. Gone. Lost.

Impressed you're impressed with Jehst Kelsieo, what do you think of Braintax?. I hung out at the warehouse of the producers of Jehst, hadn't heard of him at the time, but i pretended. Ha. Wasn't impressed with Extinguished, well it was nice, but One Word has a lovely concurrent theme, and is put together so well that neither Ex nor Uprock can really challenge it, lovely as those albums are.

Young Kelso left me with lots of nice music i hadn't heard before so that has been my playlist for the last few days.

Miss all you guys.

Lee

and i strongly recommend that every one of you buys funeral by the arcade fire. because its fucking brilliant.

i'm very much enjoying dead cites, red seas and lost ghosts by m83, the joy of analogue synths...

is all going ahead for monday? i need to be back that night, i was thinking of coming up sunday night and leaving after we do the radio thing...

need to give nicos a ring, tonight

boomkat suck at collating orders, I ordered on like friday and stuff still hasn't arrived. that's like, four working days

well, hopefully max richter and pan american will be having a rest under the letterbox when I get home and will be nice to make dinner to

I agree now that extinguished is inferior but not by far as it is of digestible size

you should come home soon lee and start in a new direction. I'm thinking life suckysuckysucks unless you are luckyluckylucky or are prepared to make a few false-starts and not run on when the referee is screaming 'stop, you freak!'

anyhoo, I should get back to my sporadic work/ulysses reading. Just read the analysis of the next chapter and am going to have try to understand a ranting rabid Irish nationalist cycloptic anti-semite who having a go at poor old mister bloom

El ee ee MirkBryde, i have no idea who you are but have a question for you. Found a track called plastic chat by braintax on this here internet the other week but it's not on biro funk, was wondering whether you knew where it was from? Other than that, i would also like to declare my love of the m83 album. Oh, and nice gig by the way...
