In reply to: Dare 's message, "Intro message, pls read" on 11:01:13 09/26/03 Fri

here's what happened to me:

18/05/03-contacted person by email through his website to inquire about purchasing replicated parts for collectibles.

19/05/03 to 06/05/03 - correspondence to discuss sale of items. It was agreed that i would receive 9 items from him for US$55 shipped.

10/06/03 - Inquired about status of order. received reply that parts were not completed yet. said he would "finish up and ship out tomorrow".

28/07/03 - Inquired about status of order again. He says that a piece I was to receive was damaged and that he would refund some of my money.

02/09/03 - Had been unable to contact "jangar" as he had changed his email to a new server without informing. After finding his new website using google.com, inquired again about order. Suggested that he return money if he was unable to fulfill order. He says he will send out a portion of the order ASAP.

14/09/03 - Emailed again to ask about order. Told him that I would be going to the mailfraud authorities if he doesn't deliver or refund my order. He says he won't screw me over, but was having family problems.

14/09/03 - Filed fraud report with paypal. They refuse to investigate as their security policy is open only for 30 days.

24/09/03 - Filed with NFIC Online. Told jangar that I am starting to send his name to authorities. I give him one last chance to refund or deliver.

This was his reply:

Full of lies. Thus I am playing hardball from now on. There obviously isn't any point talking to him.

I would suggest that everyone start visiting fraud authority websites in the USA (search google) and submitting a report against Jangar.

Everyone meaning those who were sharing orders but haven't paid the main person who ordered. Ie, Everyone who has placed any kind of order with him, and has some kind of money with him, whether it's yours or a friend's. The more numbers we can clock up the more we'll be pressuring the authorties to take action.

Just be sure to be honest in your reporting of the case, and not flower it up or use foul language against him. the more respectable we look the less he will appear to be.

Some anti-fraud websites I have found:

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspub...s/mailorder.htm

http://www.fraud.org/info/done.htm

http://www.ccmostwanted.com/reporting1.htm

http://www.usps.com/websites/depart/inspec...aud/welcome.htm

Another thing we can do is sign a petition like form, and submit it to local authorities. Does anyone know who we can approach for internet crime cases?
