Subject: Jailed fan repatriated already!

Michael Shields - a British football fan - jailed for 10 years for 'attempted murder' in Bulgaria last year - was repatriated to Britain this morning to serve his sentence in 'country of origin.'
Michael Shield is probably innocent anyway - anyone who read how the court proceedings were conducted at his trial are convinced it was a travesty of justice - but the Brits look after their own regardless of innocence or guilt.
Contrast his case with that of Irish citizens Noel Maguire and the Hulme brothers. These men applied for repatriation several years ago and are still awaiting transfer to Ireland.
When it comes to looking after the interests of Irish citizens imprisoned abroad the Irish government continues to show a serious lack of concern at all times.
Shame on them!
