Author: Irish Political Status Committee
Subject: PoW Noel Maguire - Day of protest in London!

Members of the IPSC were joined on Friday March 30 by comrades from the Wolfe Tone Society and the James Connolly Association (in a personal capacity)in a protest outside the Irish Embassy in London, to highlight the victimisation of republican prisoner Noel Maguire.
A letter was handed in addressed to the new Irish Ambassador David Cooney deploring the treatment of Noel Maguire and calling on the Dept of Justice in Dublin to reconsider their decision not to allow his repatriation to an Irish prison.
Later leaflets were handed to visitors at the Bord Failte/Tourist office in New Bond Street, and the Passport/Visa office in Knightsbridge, outlining Noels just case for repatriation.
There was only one incident when the police moved us on from the Bord Failte office claiming we were causing an obstruction. No arrests were made and the protest ended at 15.00 hrs.
The committee and members wish to thank all those who turned up and took part in the day of action for Noel. It's very much appreciated.
We thank also our friends in Sweden who did their own protest outside the Irish Legation in Stockholm for Noel on the day, the members of the Scottish Socialist freedom Movement (SSFM) in Dundee, and our sister organisation the Irish Political Status Coalition in USA - who organised protests in many parts of the United States on Noel's behalf.
Go raibh maith agaibh!
Photos of the international day of action will be available on-line in near future.
