Subject: Embassy protest for Aiden Hulme

The Irish Political Status Committee (IPSC)are holding a protest outside the Irish Embassy in London on Saturday
June 17, commencing 11.30am, to draw attention to the plight of Irish political prisoner Aiden Hulme who is serving a 20 year sentence in Full Sutton Prison, England.
Aiden suffered an injured leg in a motor-bike accident shortly before his arrest, and was responding well to treatment at the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast. However following his arrest he was transferred to Belmarsh Prison in London where his treatment ceased. As a result he is now in danger of having his injured leg amputated. He remains in great pain and has become almost immune to the pain-killing medication prescribed by the prison medics.
Aiden's application for repatriation to an Irish prison was accepted a year ago, but the Home Office say they cannot repatriate him as his paperwork is still at the Irish Ministry of Justice in Dublin - who seem in no hurry to process it.
The Irish embassy is situated at 17 Grosvenor Place, Belgravia, London W1. Nearest tube station - Hyde Park.
The protest will be held from 11.30am to 1300pm.
