Thanks for the prompt Shawn...

The trip was a lot of fun. And, the good news is that I was warm almost the entire time. We met the group near Harriet Hollister Spencer Park (south of Honeoye Lake) on the trip leaders land. After everyone collected their gear and was ready to go, we started off across the street and into the woods towards the park. After an hour of hiking on snow shoes with a full pack I was certainly warm and ready to remove a layer of clothing. The only time I was a little cold is my hands and feet when we were standing around cooking dinner after we got back. We went for a night hike after that and I warmed up again :)

Sleeping I was fine and I can't believe, I would consider doing it again. We were very lucky with conditions because it was warmer than it had been -- teens and twenties and little wind. I definitely learned alot of tricks to stay warm and prevent things from freezing!! Too bad I don't wear all that clothing to work -- I thought I was going to freeze solid this morning walking from my car!

I'll keep you up to date on my next adventure :) What has everyone else been up to lately?

-Laura
