Ok, this is take two!

I finally got around to posting and was almost done...when..Shawn IM'd me to ask a burning question...like how many place settings of china to register for!!!! POOF, I lost everything I wrote...

So...here is the abbreviated version....
6 days in Vegas...rainy and cool...won in blackjack...lost in craps...lost/won in blackjack...lost in slots....total LOSS for week...somewhere around $40...only played for a total of maybe 2 hours...would have much prefered to be hiking red rock canyon than sitting in meetings or gambling...put no time for that!
Thursday night arrived LA....stayed on Venice Beach....Friday a.m Kerry and I rollerbladed from Venice to Santa Monica...then showered and went to our "spa" appt in Rendando Beach...wonderful!! Walked the pier, watched the waves...
Saturday....boat to Catalina Island....4 to 5 foot swells...can you spell sea sick....very interesting...but arrived in one piece...absouletly breathtaking scenary...got re-acquainted with driving a golf cart...the main mode of transportation around the island...(Shawn is to post pic)

Sunday...Kerry worked... I played...rollerbladed....and vegged on the beach....wonderfull....Oh, and rollerbladed back to Venice beach...oh so interesting on a Sunday afternoon!

Long flight back (always is from the left coast)...finally arrived home around 1 a.m.

Ok, so that's it....

Karen, keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing you when you get home...and as Sharon says...STAY IN SCHOOL...it will be worth it in the long run.

Laura and Ian...I want to hear all about your trip. I'm looking into my summer travel adventure. Have my eye on a walking tour of Ireland in August...would love to hear about your hiking/traveling adventures!

Sharon, hang in there....can't wait to see you in September...but who knows...I might have to take an improptu trip out to the Northwest...it's been a few years!

Kay and Mary/Geoff...thanks for "babysitting" the homestead while I was gone...time for your update!
