Hi,
All contracts, verbal, implied or written "in good faith", agreed upon by both parties are legal & binding. The key words are "in good faith". Should 1 party be scheming, conniving, coaxing, misrepresenting, under duress or undue pressure, misunderstand the contents of contract, unfair terms, not conforming to the State's legal process, etc.,etc, then the contract is void and illegal.

So does it make timeshare contracts void and illegal since we are made to sign under pressure?

I was wondering what signing a contract "under duress" means. I had a sick uncle that signed over his land to his caretaker just before his death, however, a will was made out to his daughter for the land. Also, my uncle could only sign with an X as he could not write his name. Is this valid?
