] Date Posted: Wed, Mar 31 2004, 12:09:57 I am Nacille Kukita, my husband and I have been encountering the problem of one companyfs most not honest and insincere treatment of our money. The company is L.G.M. We would like to share with you this case and wish you to support us to solve this problem. Wefve bought CALYPSO contract from our relatives in Singapore last March 2002, we've already paid them the full amount of 13,000 Singapore dollars. L.G.M(Singapore-based) company is the one who sold CALYPSO to my relatives. Because of financial difficulties, we tried to sell the contract through L.G.M. (Singapore-based) company last September while we were in Singapore just for short trip. However, they kept insisting not to do that and instead they offered us the Concept Vacation Club (CVC) program wherein we have to pay an additional fee of S$9000 for us to enjoy the program for 50 yrs.Due to financial instability, we refused to pay extra fees. But their agent Mr. A.R. convinced us to take action on the matter as soon as possible and suggests us to write a letter to his boss stating that wefre asking for a discount and a lesser term for 3 yrs., so we can get back from them the exact amount of money S$13000 in exchange for the contract, therefore we signed and agreed on the conditions that we will pay half of the stated amount (S$9000) and only enjoy 25 yrs. Of the program. Wefve also agreed that wefre going to pay any available amount to them as an installment, and further agreed to pay the remaining balance thru bank-to-bank basis, as we are now base in Japan. On the same day my husband noticed an anomaly on the signed contract, it wasnft stated that we retrieve the full amount paid on the CALYPSO contract and half the fee of CVC contract within 5 yrs, so we decided to return and clarify what was stated on the contract but they have not agreed to put the guaranteed sentences of full payment back against what they had said. Therefore, we tried to cancel it and finally they verbally agreed with after more than 3 hours stressful talking. Then we have gone back to Japan next day. But even now after 5 months, they still have never taken the formal action to cancel CVC program and never return Calypso title to us. We have contacted with them several times by international calls and e-mails after our back to Japan. However, they just have kept avoiding the clear answer and until now they have not done anything at all as they have promised to us. . We wefre dismayed of what had happened because of the fact that we canft revoke what was written on the contract, we immediately informed the VISA company about the said situation and they agreed not to release any amount to L.G.M. company. As we have stated all the above information, what legal action can we do to retrieve the CALYPSO contract from L.G.M? If anyone can give us any advise or support, it is highly appreciated.
