Date Posted: Tue, Dec 07 2004, 4:47:13 Not all MLMs are scams or a pyramid system. When you are approached by a network marketing personnel, and you are interested in the business plan, do look into it in greater detail and ask all the questions that you want (including those which may seem 'stupid'). Many MLMs are endorsed by the Direct Selling Association of Singapore (DSAS). Ask to see this endorsement (by way of a logo on their presentation brochures). Most people fall out of an MLM business and say it is a scam because they do not or cannot put in the required initial burst of effort. What most people forget is that an MLM business is like any other business: initial start-up effort is the most important capital. An ordinary retailer cannot hope to immediately make money...he has to establish a good clientele base. MLM businesses are the same. In fact, the networking marketing business plan is the most successful business model ever devised because to date, it has created the most number of millionaires in the world than any other business model. Ask any business guru and they will tell you the same. Unfortunately though, there ARE schemes out there which claim to be MLMs but are in fact a 'get-rich-quick' system...for the originators, that is. There are no true 'quick-fix' businesses out there...if the MLM plan you are looking at claims that it is 'easy' or that you will make a significant amount of money with little to no effort, then be wary... All forms of success require effort and a step-by-step achievement based system...and that is the truth. Pyramid schemes are illegal in Singapore. Look for the DSAS endorsement in any MLM plan you are presented with, and check with the DSAS of that company's listing in their directory if you are still in doubt. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
