In reply to: ccn666 's message, "LGM Timeshare scam" on Mon, Nov 10 2003, 3:06:30

Dear CCN
I have the same tactics applied on me. Eddie and Zien told me that I would be guaranteed of a total payback after 5 years. I wanted it in black and white but they could not produce it.

To date, I have never been able to use it bec the dates are almost impossible to get. Instead of planning my holidays around my work schedule, it is more the other way round. I too have paid a great deal...almost as much as you and I have yet to see the savings...
What a joke....we would save lots of money... as far as I see it is a bad bad investment. Esp with the poor economy, the holiday packages offering is an all-time low. What have LGM been able to offer to keep the customer satisfied?

I saw your case. I am also the victim of LGM and had sunken a total amount of $25,000 for the calypso Plaza and later conversion to CVC program. Recently, I was offered to enrol for the CASH Back Option so as to recover all the amount which I had paid earlier on but I need to top up a minimun of $12,000. I feel the option are insecure and a high amount incurred. I turned them(LGM) down but was told that the CVC program had no resale market and I had sunken all my money as I chose not to enrol for the option. I feel very disappointed as all the assurance that they (LGM) had given me at the point of sales such as good resale value and high demand in resale market.

Please count me in if you all will to take legal action against LGM.

Thank you for you attention.

Leow

Don't fall for the cashback scheme. Check out

http://www.timeshare.org.uk/cashback.html

Getting your money back in full is like waiting for the ocean to dry up. It is another scam.

Please do not believe this cash reward programme. I am suspicious of this programme. Nizam had called me on last Sat for advice and I had told him not put in more money to LGM. Fyi, what this programme is that there will be a company (UK registered) to invest the money you put in and in five year times they repay you the profit they make in investment. LGM told me that I need to put in 13% of the CVC value but from what you say in this forum, yours look like 50%, so I can somehow say this is a scam to con you another time. Furthermore, the investment company is a foreign company, who knows they had collected enough money and the company dissolved. Please, all my dear friends, do not believe in all these things. Don't even give them a chance to talk to you. We must unite.

Best Regards
Casey

Hi all,

I am also a victim of this scam. I live in The Netherlands. In 2002, I took a short vacation to Singapore, and similar to what most of you have experienced, this LGM/CVC got me conned. I payed S$7800 for 15 years LGM/CVC membership. I don't know whether there's something I can do, being far away from singapore, but if you guys have some idea to stop this con company, count me in.

Kind regards,
Ricky

Are u a singaporean? If u'r not, report ur case to STB. Not sure if they can do anything but I feel every official report will add to the overall impact of this fight. I am in contact with one official. I can give u her details - contact me.

If u'r singaporean, report to CASE.

Then the rest is up to the current group to fight it out.

Mei
