] Date Posted: Fri, Jan 20 2006, 8:15:08 Hi I got the call from a Madam Miriam of Jue Shi Mktg Pte Ltd sometime in Dec 05 . This lady who sounded more excited then me said that i won a 7 day holiday trip and a digital video camera (guranteed). All i needed to do is attend the presentation for 2 hours as a couple and i will receive the holiday trip and the video camera.I had my doubts coz i thought it was one of those time share thingy.I spoke to my wife and she immediately said no interest coz she thought it was a time share thing as well. I told the lady that my wife was not convince and to my surprise she offered to get her so call project manager to call my wife to tell her the gd news about my win.My wife reluctantly agreed partly coz i wanted to go and see wot it was really all about. we were met by this lady salesperson who said it was her first day doing this job .She tried to sweet talk to us , trying to be very friendly and offered us a hot drink and even some sandwiches which we turn down. Then this guy whom the lady said is the manager came to our table to talk to us.About 5 mins into his introduction my wife told him that she works in the travel industry an almost immediately he said "im sori but this event is not open to anyone working in the travel industry " My wife was taken aback coz she did mention to the project manager on the phone early in the day that she is from the travel industry.Obviously i was fumimg coz my wife partly agreed to go coz of me. We were shown the way out but before that the manager said he will speak to his big boss to see if i can receive the video camera and the 7 day holiday trip.Then he showed us to this room where a young lady whipped out a pamplet explaining to us about the trip and also in order to get the video camera i have to send them a chk for $69 for delivery charges within 2 days . I thought about it and decided to send them the chk as i thought my 8 year old daughter can play with it as it is probably one of those cheapo video camera. Afew days later i call the company to ask them if they receive the chek , the lady said she will check and call me back but till today no calls .I call the bank this morning to see if the chk was cleared , they said it was not even presented. I call Jue Shi immedately to find out wots going but no one answered the call. Wot a load of crap. Thank god we were told to leave .If not we wud have had to sit thru the whole 2 hours and listen to their hard sell tactics . Thanks to my wife as well for working in the travel industry. We are lucky we did not loose anything other then our precious time travelling to attend the talk. For those who were not that lucky.... Im very very sori.
