] Date Posted: Fri, Oct 29 2004, 21:35:30 I just received a letter from a law firm call Gurdip & Gill, they are acting on behalf on ERI demanding me settling my balance amount of $12,500. They threaten me that if i do not pay up within 7 days, legal proceedings will be taken against me!!! Could anyone advise me on what i should do? Does this law firm know that they are helping a group of blood suckers? Why can't i stop payment even i feel cheated? Do we stay in a lawful society? I would like to call out all ERI victim who received this letter to contact me, we shall work out a way to settle this!!! once and for all... i might be visiting a lawyer tomorrow, please provide me more informstion , [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: Mon, Nov 08 2004, 14:35:57 I have just recently spoke with a lawyer with regards to my timeshare membership plight. It appears to the lawyer that the 'contract' which I signed with ERI does not constitute a proper contract at all. It is basically just an agreement which I was acknowledging with ERI. In fact, she mentioned that if I wanted to, I could just stop paying the installment, forgo my previous payments and the membership. I did ask her about getting sued by ERI for doing that, and she indicate that is not possible given that there is no proper/legal contract at all! You may want to further check on this. I stopped payment from 2002 till now, they started to pester me again saying that they want to sue me. You mentioned that the contract is not proper and is only an agreement. I've heard from my friend's lawyer too that the contract is not valid. However, I would like to seek somebody who have deal with ERI before. I'm so stress with this. i really hope someone can advise me on that. I really need u help on this. Can i just ignore the contract since it is not a proper contract. i can forgo my previous payment. i don't need any refund. SOS... If possible how can i reach your lawyer. Date Posted: Sat, Mar 12 2005, 9:17:49 Hi, I too have received calls from the timesharing company(World Resorts International Pte Ltd) ask me to pay up the remaining money I own to them, I had talked to the timesharing company(World Resorts International Pte Ltd) manager Deland Quek to cancel my contract with them and they agreed by paying a small amount of money to settle the cancellation of the contract which happened in 30th May 2003. I got the letter that we signed on to agree to cancel the contract and recently I got a telephone call from another company said that the previous company(World Resorts International Pte Ltd) that I had talked to has closed down overnight, and taking-over company didn't have any letter from the previous company(World Resorts International Pte Ltd) to prove that I have already cancelled the contract. The timesharing company(World Resorts International Pte Ltd) that I had previously talked to in agreeing and I had the letter to approve that I had already cancelled the contract is World Resorts International Pte Ltd, located at 33C Tanjong Pagar Road, Singapore 088456.
