Hi frens,
I managed to get the cancellation after i made the purchase two days ago. Was puzzled why everything went so smoothly coz i do expect a struggle by them..the manager just signed the cancellation form after attending to us shortly. i begun to suspect there was something up the sleeves after what they are capable off. BUt it could be becoz it was within the 3 days cooling period. This msg is to encourage those who just sign up...go quick and cancel the agreement if it is still within the cooling period. who knows ..maybe u can get out of trouble....! then rem to communicate to your bank to stop any transaction and furnish them with the cancellation form...of course pls dun use or open any gifts lor.....all the best.

Hi Space,

Did you managed to get out "unharmed"? That is, did you have to pay anything like cancellation fee or did they give you a full refund?

We have similar experience with yours.
We attended a presentation at Shaw House with Oxxx....Travel
We actually signed up on Mon and placed a deposit of $5000 thru credit card.

It is only only on Wed when I checked up this company on the net that I realised that I have fallen into their trap. I should have check on them early before I attend the presentation.

We were told that the usual cooling period is 3 days, but we were given 7 days. (He wrote on the "agreement paper"). I panicked when I discovered the scram on Tue. We spoke to the person-in-charge given them other reason (which is also close to reality) why we are cancelling the deal.
He offered other alternative and asked us to consider, afterall we have 7 days of cooling period.

But I got so uneasy that I actually returned everything and have the cancellation done on Thu. That guy didn't seemed too happy thou. I am so afraid that we may not be able to get out after 3 days. Now I am worried if I will be getting back my $5000 deposit credited back to my card.
Now all I can do is wait.

What is my chances? Any advice?
