Be prepared to receive a phone call inviting u to an obligation-free presentation and collect your winning prize at the same time. This is where you will be introduced to the world of timeshare or 'vacation ownership'. And then the nightmare begins......

Hey! I received the same phone call too today from Lifestyle Services at Delfi Orchard. She said I had won an Italian design watch and 1 night stay at Sentosa. She said that I had participated in a lucky draw after buying some $40-50 worth of items. Do you think I should check it out?

If you have time to burn, able to defend yourself against hard selling tactics, able to be sober after being bombarded with sales talk from different sales person at a time for a possible few hours, resist falsely represented tempting useless cheap offers, then by all means go and have fun with them. It would be an eye opener for you if you have not attended timeshare hard sell sales talks before.
Btw, at the end of the "complusory" sales talk, you will be presented with your "Italian designed" but non italian fake watch, plus your 1 night stay at sentosa with ridiculous terms and conditons.

Be very careful if you are asked to sign anything.
Have Fun.

I've received a call from them too! I gave them my contact details because I really believed that I've won a prize. They started calling me, telling me to meet them at Delfi or International Building (at Isetan Scotts there) but I told them I can't meet them because I can't confirm my free time due to my work nature. They are very very insistent that I meet them, up to the point of being quite rude. I told them to send my prize to me since I supposedly won some vouchers...can mail to me isn't it? But they refused. So I just said, "I give up my prize, I don't want it anymore, please give it to someone else." Bluff people one lah, don't believe them.

I was at there 2 days ago. The company is Grand Seasons International Pte Ltd. The gifts are sponsored by Emperor Holdings International. I've checked out, the place has the same address as Emperor Resorts International (ERI), get the drift..?

When I reached there, I had to fill up a mini survey and sign it. I was careful not to use the signature that I normally used for my credit cards etc. The survey was on normal things like your travelling habits and contact number, etc. Then I went into the office proper where the whole "presentation" began. After a few hours of sales pitching comes the price of the package. $10k VIP price if you sign up on the spot and $15k if you sign up another day.

To be fair to the sales person, he was persistent, but he DID say that there was no obligations to buy (although he also made it sounds like that would be a stupid decision). Remember, you have the right to say no!

For the gifts, I received a watch, a spa discount voucher of $150 for a $180 package (ie. you top up $30). 2 free stay, one is at Phuket (or Koh samui), the other is at their resort in Yunan. Amoung the Terms and Conditions are that you have to attend another holiday presentation during your stay, or else the offer will be void. There's no obligation to buy though.

since I didn't agree to buy from them, i dun think I've lost out on anything, except 2 hours of my time. Anyway, my girlfriend has always wanted to go to the spa, so it will be an additional x'mas present for her. :)

This is the first time I've attended Timeshare talks (although I've attended several MLM talks before). What an eye opener! After reading so much about people losing a lot of money with ERI, I'm glad I stood firm against buying.

Yes, a call from someone called Rachael, Thai accent. Said I'd won trips to Thailand and China and a spa voucher. My name wasn't mentioned at all throughout the conversation. Prizes couldn't be mailed, hence the call (she said sourly). What did I do to win the prize..."oh! you had been shopping in singapore for the past 6 months, you remember the lucky draw coupon you filled?"...er...no? Anyway the tone of her voice plunged as I began to ask more questions...and the call ended up her dryly saying "orh! ok." Talk about service! I wouldn't in my life believe her an ounce announcing such 'great news' with such a lousy attitude and tone. Would you???

Guys. this is a very true thing. I just got my ticket to Phuket and China today. That's why I got the company's name and I came to search about it and found this thread. It's real and not a bluff. I went there but the watch suck. Trust me, it's not any designer watch that I was told but some cheap watch. That doesn't matter cause I got the tickets and a $150 SPA voucher. This is the 2nd time I got a call from this Orchard Delfi compny. It's Grand Seasons International Pte Ltd. Trust me, it works. Go ahead and collect your free ticket. Maybe they bought the contact list from some company but what matter most is the free holiday trip. The tickets are free and they are some advertising company. Why not try it out. Got free holiday!! :)

Hello guys, sad to say I read this forum too late. I have been tricked into signing with ERI, May 2005. Till recently, then I started to do more research about the company and realized this. I have paid around $1000 plus. Every month $100 would be deducted from my bank through Giro. Is there any way which I can discontinue? Cos I have emailed them and they told me that there's no way I can terminate it, I would have to carry on paying. What should I do next? Please advice. thanks a lot.

Just go to the bank and tell them you wish to stop the GIRO payment. They will ask you to fill in a form and that's it. Don't believe what ERI tells you when they say you cannot cancel. That is not true

Got a call from Christine from Lifestyle Services today. Sweet sounding and didn't come across as too pushy. But I simply didn't buy her pathetic excuse of unclaimed lucky draw prizes and benevolent corporate sponsors.
Anyway, I'm glad to have come across this forum. Someone oughtta run these conmen out of business!
