Subject: Martin Shepherd

We have new conclusive information about the Martin Shepherd who served in Caudill's 13th. We were in error when originally thinking this was the Martin Shepherd from Perry County. Instead the Martin Shepherd who served in Company B of the 13th Kentucky and enlisted in Floyd County was in fact the Martin Shepherd born in 1845, the son of John E. Shepherd and Sarah Hale. He is on the 1850 Floyd, the 1860 Magoffin, the 1870 Floyd and 1880 Magoffin County Census. He died in 1894.
