Subject: Son of Kentucky buried in Edinburgh, Scotland

I am please to have been asked to organise a Ceremony in Edinburgh, Scotland on July 21st. 2007. The event was to commemorate the First Battle of Manassas and to pay tribute to the many Scottish soldiers that fought on both sides of the Civil War. One grave that cropped up in our search was that of Confederate infantryman Robert Alexander Smith - A Son of the State of Kentucky. Buried in the Dean Cemetery, here in Edinburgh. I look forward with humility at conducting a special service for this Kentuckian on July 22nd. 2007, and with the help of our local Press, I hope to create a public awareness of these men and their cause. A cause which lives on.

Next month I hope to post pictures of the graves we have located and of the services we conduct for these fine Confederate men.
