Israel has had to fight its neighbors for 56 years. They have survived AND created an oasis in the desert. The Arabs have wasted almost three generations on their crusade to eliminate the Jews, while ignoring their own people and using them as pawns, at best.

The Palestinians are like America's Blacks. They have been living on the dole for so long that they don't know how to do what is best for themselves. They have 'leaders' who profess to speak for 'their' people and then drag them inexorably closer to annihilation, while the people only want to be left alone to make a better life for themselves and their families.

What they need is a real leader with a vision for his people's future. Someone who can get them to work to improve themselves and their lot. Working for themselves and with their neighbors will soon turn Palestine into another model of what can be done in the desert. They can show their 'friends' how much more they can achieve with cooperation.

Or else, they can stay in the camps for another three generations.
