Subject: Wear pads or not to wear pads

I am 10 years old and have been dancing for 7 years. I am in a dance magnet program where I dance 2 hours a day at school every day. I also take 8 hours of dance classes a week at 2 different studios. I take pointe classes with 4 different teachers between 3-5 times per week. One of my teachers will not let us wear pads. I tried it this week and Icame home bleeding and blistered and can hardly wear shoes to school now. I've been wearing pads in all the other classes and have never (in 10 months) had a problem. What is the usual thing for a 10 year old, to wear pads or not. I have very small feet, and am using the smallest size in the Copelia II shoes all ready.
