Subject: Soft blocks....

I'm from England, and over here we HAVE to wear pointe shoes WITHOUT shanks(called soft blocks. You can buy them readily done without the shanks, or make them yourself by removing the soles of old points and then banging all the glue out with a hammer!) for our Elementary exam, and all the exams after that. I don't know whether it's the same system in America, but I'd be interested to know! E-mail me anyone to compare stretching techniques, pointe techniques etc. I've been doing ballet for 10 years (I'm 16 now), and I've been on pointe for about 4 years. E-mail me if you like!
