I've worn Galas for years..well, ever since they came out. With a very high arch and a long, narrow foot, the Gala felt like heaven from the first day on. The advert is true; there is no break-in. The graduated shank was a brilliant idea. I love them. You can find them easiest by seaching for "Prima Soft Pointe Shoe" and you will get a long list (from Google, at least) of places to get them from.

Also, I tried the Russian type and they felt terrible on my feet..hated them.

Cheers from Anguilla,
Dorothea
