As a male dancer one does not struggle with pointe shoes
but we have just as high expectations on our feet as the
ballerinas nowadays! I have unfourtunantly a bad left foot
with no instep and bad arch, while my right foot is the
complete opposite. I tried everything including pointeshoes
and the footstretch devise. My left(bad)foot is stronger
than the right though. The only solution so far is to "fake"
it! Build up an arch with plaster(medical)and cotton or
synthetic material. Hey, you'd be surprised if you knew how many dancers "enchante" their feet in this manner! Maya
Plisetskaya, Galina mezentseva, to name some famous! The only problem is when you dance barefeet ballets or bare
feet in shoes. Operations to adjust your'e problem like Carla Fracci or silicone injections like Gelsey Kirkland
is quite risky buissness not to mension expensive.
