I don't want to discourage you but I took 10 years of flat ballet until I was able to begin pointe. You really should wait at least 4-5 years. You need to be able to strengthen your arches and the only way to do this is by flat ballet. Have you seen Save the Last Dance. Well believe me pointe is much more work than that. Your feet bleed and blisters are horrible. I bled so much it went right through the toe shoe in the middle of a dance recital. I just recently took a break from dance because of the large amount of pressure, and I'm only 17 years old. Though I will probably have to start again this summer. Hope this kinda helps you. But it would be wonderful if your feet could got through all this without problems. Hope it all works out.
