Subject: My Task # 4

http://english-zone.com/reading/elefants.html

The text I chose is “Elephants”.

The elephant is the largest animal that walks on Earth. It also says about their amount of food needed daily: 300lbs; that they can live till the age of 70; elephants can carry loads up to 1200lbs. For that, they can be trained to help men build bridges for example. The elephant’s trunks are used for communication as well as to eat, drinking water and bathing. Their ears work as a cooling system. There are two kinds of elephants, the India (also called Asian) and the African with around 600,000 specimens alive. The biggest threat to them is the hunters looking for their ivory, especially from their tusks.

I got the first answer wrong but all the others were right! I thought it very interesting, because doing some activities right after reading the text allows one to check the information they just read. It was very nice. I highly recommend this site.

CHAIN STORY

I heard voices saying "Toodles, we miss you..." and so I went outside to see who was it. Guess what! They were Jingles, Manny and Scratchy my long gone flea pals. They were in the hood and decided to stop by and say hello, and so they came here. I'm sorry I didn't say anything it's just because I know you're allergic to fleas...

I sent to my classmate Renata Nascimento for peer editing/reviewing.
