Penitentiaries system
Penitentiaries are really problematic today and in order to discuss solutions, the society must analyses their problems. Many times people become criminals because of the way our society deals with poverty. After all, because it provides them less oportunities than others, it should be concern treat them more humanely even before they become criminals and go to prison, as it should be in there.
Considering that the society has priorities to invest in what they belive is worth, a rehabilitation program should be done before or when they are just starting their criominals lifes, because when they get dangerous, the community sees them with fear, and as it tends to ignore the ones who have not follow it rules, with prisioners isn’t different.
However, besides make the laws the government should make sure that the whole group has conditions to practice them. Most of the criminals live their whole life in inhumane conditions, even before they start to commit crimes they don’t have adequate food, sanitary and medical services.
In conclusion, if it is concerned provide the society a safer life, it’s important start to discuss and plan a governmental program to rehabilitate criminals. Therefore, is even more important, in my view, to avoid the violence which is constantly growing up, through economic development. In other words, increasing finantially the income of people from low social class they would not have the necessity to become criminals because it would make possible to them get everything they need, to live a reasonable life, through their own work. Furthermore, solving this problem as a little part of a bigger one – the not equally income’s distribuition – other problems, as drug traffic, prostitution, abortion rate, would probally decrease.
