I found interesting the linking and contrasting ideas.
1) Even though emphasizes the contrast more.
eg: She went to the party, even though she was very tired.

2) Despite is used with a noun or a gerund after it.
eg: Despite feeling ill, I took my driving test.

3) Whereas
eg: Karina loves jazz, whereas Sophie prefers classical music.

4) Nevertheless is more formal than however.
eg: There was a great deal of evidence against him. Nevertheless, the jury found him innocent.

5) On the other hand
eg: If take First Certificate in June, I mail fail. On the other hand, if I wait until December, I will have to spend the summer studying.

6) To sum up, I really liked the web site, for its great contents.
