And I'm not talking fun evil either, this is the real nasty deal. Which I suppose it not surprising considering the guy now has one vampire demon, one all powerful pure evil soul, and a whole bundle of unresolved issues all combining to send him hurtling over the edge. Poor Wesley, he'd be horrified if he could really see what's he's doing.
A scene I particularly loved was Willow and Lilah's conversation.
WILLOW
Sorry...continue melting.
LOL. It would be great to see those two on screen together. Willow is deceptively calm and tranquil, and I can easily imagine her managing to handle Lilah surprisingly well. They bicker but still manage to reveal layers in amongst all the barbs.
Faith is another one I'm glad is back on the scene. She is one complicated and torn up character. At first glance she's all toughness and attitude, but inside she's still pretty fragile. That attack by Wes really shook her up and you really felt for her during those few lines with Fred before she went back to covering it up again.
Oh, and another favourite moment.
ANGEL
Faith she’s human – she has a soul
FAITH
So do I – I still got twenty-five to life
LILAH
Just proves I’m smarter
Gotta love Lilah. Her heart's just been broken. Again. She's just been brought back to life. Again. And she still manages to produce killer one liners. The world is a better place with her in it :)
I'm with Veggie in the Lorne-loving. What a guy! His unusual but highly effective diversion was a welcome moment of amusement in an otherwise very dark episode.
So, Drusilla is on the scene again. Not a good sign, she is one very capable and destructive creature to have roaming LA. Her and Vamp Wes both have issues with Angel, so I imagine the future will not be rosy for him if they get any say in it.
On to the next ep!
