Squee!

*coughs*

Right, so, the episode itself...

It is a pleasure to have Dawn, even if temporarily, back on the scene. It's a nice reassurance to know that even during the heights of a looming apocalypse, teenage hormones will still rule the day :) The gang's reactions to the little pair were perfect. Firstly Spike's 'unearthing' of the uninvited guest, followed by his and Willow's desparing talk. LOL!
It was also nice to see that Willow did have the grace to admit that one can hardly blame/look down on Dawn and Connor, since at their age their sister/father were doing *exactly* the same thing and then some. Hope the two kids get a chance to actually talk about where they're going with all this at some point.
Oh, and one of my favourite bits.

XANDER
Dawn say goodbye to the little boy toy

ANGEL
Hey that’s my Son!

XANDER
That’s angry time-of-the-month super slayer Buffy’s sister – who would you rather looks bad in this, you or Connor?

ANGEL
Dawn get in the car and leave the boy toy alone

CONNOR
Hey!

*sigh* Great to see Xander in the picture. He's one of those rare people who can mix humour and emotional maturity with ease, in the same sentence upbraiding Dawn fairly over running out of Buffy but at the same time having enough understanding of her predicament to have gotten Giles at least off her case.
And it's good to see that Angel does have at least one working braincell. You do not cross a Slayer. Especially when it concerns her baby sister. And *especially* when it's that time of the month!

Lindsey's still in LA, not really so surprised. I think he's strong enough to make it, I'm not too worried about him. The fact that Gwen is occasionally casting an eye over that way will surely help him.

And good for Gunn. He got the girl :)

And as for Wesley...

WILLOW
Shh…
(pause)
Take off your shirt

WESLEY
Willow I understand you were heated but…you’re a gay woman

(LB: Damn it, man, take off the b****y shirt!)

WILLOW
I need to get as close to touching your heart as I can without cutting you open

(LB: Ah.)

WESLEY
Oh

So, our boy really does have some potential then. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, after all, he was the one the Senior Partners seemed so keen to try and sign up last season, the guys even offered Lilah her old life back if she could do it for them.

I'm curious as to whether this means Willow is temporarily weakened, weakened until Wes returns the power, or is this permenent?

Bring it on?

Hell yes! Bravo!!

And the line about the Wrath of Giles is one of the funniest lines I've ever read! Lots of sweet moments with Dawn and Connor "coming of age" and Spike finding himself in a parental role. Good to see the whole gang beginning to find their feet again.
