it's hard to say how long a song takes to produce. usually, songs start out with music first, but it may be months even before we start producing the actual song. vin will usually sit alone in a dark room thinking of the Olsen twins as he writes his lyrics, and this can come after the entire band writes the music or just to a simple acoustic guitar part. once we decide to start putting together a new song it may take as short as one or two practices to have a "rough draft" of a song. but our songs are ever-changing in that we may add, subtract or change something within that song at any time basically. after we've played a song for a while, we get a better sense if we are playing the song the same way we want it to sound or if certain parts need to be modified in order to make the song have the impact that we want it to have (wow...was that too deep??).

any-who, we appreciate your question, and i am almost positive that you will get other responses from the rest of the ADW retards...if for no other reason than to just make fun of me, at least.
