Subject: HOLY FREAKING CRAP

Hey y'all. On September 11, I got my driver's licence. What a day to get it, eh?. It's my birthday today (the 6th). I'm 18.
Yesterday (the 5th) was homecoming. At 2:00 was the pep rally. The whole school was in the gym watching the cheerleaders, the tug of wars, and many were yelling. Near the begining, the cheerleaders were, one-by-one, saying all of the football players' names. When they forgot to say my name, people in the crowd started yelling my name. The guys (we, the whole team, sat together), were telling me to stand up. So I did and the whole crowd of students cheered. It was amazing. I waved and took my hat off and stuff like that. I sat down and after a couple seconds the guys said to stand up again. So I did, and the crowd cheered even louder. I couldn't believe what was happening. It was surreal. I wish it was on tape. Ya see, the whole school knows me and likes me. This is because I'm the nicest guy on Earth. Chicks dig me, just like online :), and guys think I'm cool (I'll never understand why).
Later that night, at 6:30 was the senior sports awards ceromonies. Senior athletes' names were called and they walked down the field with their parents with the crowd clapping and stuff. My mom thought it was pretty neat. I was called last and escorted her arm-in-arm. She got a flower and a button. Heh.
At 7:00 was the football game. I've been unable to play for the last few weeks, though. Because what I thought was shin splints, is actually a stress fracture. I don't know if I'll be out all season. I hope it gets better soon. I hate not being able to go out on the field. But I hang out at practice sometimes, and I'm always at the sidelines during games. We had been on a winning streak. We were 3-0 and we couldn't lose the homecoming game. I'm on a great team. Anyway, during half time (we were winning 7 to 0 at the time), the homecoming court (consisting of 5 gals and 5 guys) stood on the float (a truck with red and white balloons and a throne-like thing) which was driven to the center of the field. I was on the homecoming court. Yep. People actually voted for me to be on it. After some brief words by the former queen and king, the announcer announced the new homecoming queen first. A gal named Hillary Ray. She got a tierra, a keychain, and a sash-thingy. And then, wouldn't you know it, my name was called. That's right. I am homecoming king. Me, a self-admitted dork, and formerly picked on and ridiculed constantly, won homecoming king. I got a crown, a keychain, and sash-thingy. I sat on the throne, Hillary sat on my lap (very nice) and the float drove around the outside of the field. This was the best birthday present. My mom and step-dad didn't see any of this, though. They left before the game started. Anyway, we won 10 to 7. We are now 4-0. Parties parties parties. And life is good.
