"Proof in nature. Look around, do you really think that we came from some Big Bang or we just Evolved?"

"Darwin cannot explain the origin of life, because he cannot explain the origin of information."

"The death of Darwin came with DNA, DNA is a Digital Code, a digital code can not evolve."

These three statements are among the most scientifically ignorant I have ever read.

1. The Big Bang theory says nothing about the origin of life, and it has nothing to do with evolution. Sheesh. It's a theory of physics which explains the sequence of events resulting in an expanding universe composed of about 3/4 hydrogen and 1/4 helium, with an all-pervading background radiation and a distinctive pattern imprinted in that background radiation. So far all the astonomical evidence we have uncovered is accounted for by the Big Bang theory.

2. Darwinian evolution also claims nothing at all about the origin of life. Evolutionary theory can only ever apply to self-replicating systems which already exist; it simply does not apply to the ultimate origin of such systems. This is a very common, albeit stupid, mistake that creationists make.

3. DNA molecules obviously and demonstrably change, dummy. If they didn't, your DNA would be the same as your mother's and your grandmother's, and techniques like forensic DNA analysis would be worthless. If DNA never changed, we would not have white-eyed fruitflies (mutations) or fruitflies with stubby wings (another mutation) in highschool science labs. We wouldn't have Early Girl tomatoes or winter wheat either, because they're also results of genetic variability--variations in DNA.

---

Evolution is mankinds oldest and most successful biology experiment, did you know that? Fact: ancient Peruvians used the tools of evolution--genetic variability and selection of breeding stock--to breed varieties of potato that would produce large edible tubers at high elevations in the mountains. Farmers in the prehistoric Middle East took a wild grass and used evolutionary tools--genetic variability and selection of breeding stock--to produce domestic wheat. Farmers in southern Mexico did the same thing with another kind of wild grass, and produced maize or corn.

If there were no genetic variablity, evolution would be impossible. Without some sort of selection of breeding stock--either natural or artificial--there would be no evolution. Man has proven, in everything from Daschunds to roses, that the tools of evolution can change the size and shape and color and behavior of organisms over the generations.

When you eat a slice of bread, it's proof that evolution is possible. When you put on a pair of cotton jeans, it's proof that evolution is possible. When you look at a cute pomeranian puppy, remember that man created the pomeranian's small stature, long fur, and curly tail by using evolutionary methods in just a few hundred years. The tools of evolution have been operating in nature for about 10,000,000,000 times longer than that--about ten million times longer than it took for man to use artificial evolution to create pomeranian dogs and percheron horses and pom-pom dahlias.

Seriously, the way evolution is proposed to work in nature--natural genetic variability and natural selection of breeding stock--has been used by man ever since he began domesticating plants and animals; the only difference is that man artificially selects the breeding stock instead of letting natural selection do it. Other than that one detail, natural evolution and man's selective breeding of plants and animals rely on exactly the same principles.
