Those of us who embody, for lack of a better term, that epithet, at least when used as a descriptor rather than an epithet, realize whether there's any respect intended when it's thrown out at a third party.

Hell, I've called many a straight *sshole a c*cksucker, just to put their own BS back in their faces. It scares them, it somehow scarily demeans them, in their own little screwy world. The term, applied to me, doesn't bother me a bit--in fact, it would be descriptive, if I weren't so damned celibate.

The difference is in knowing its usefulness and meaning in the target demographic. Sexually insecure straight men are terrified of and hateful toward those who may or may not do the very same thing they plead with their girlfriends to do.

And then they kiss them afterwards.
