Subject: short power help

 I overhauled my SM with 4.314" no-stroke pistons but I'm having trouble getting the sugested horsepower. Used the sugested cam, carb, ignition, distributer, Lp manifold, and rebuilt the head completely. I'm disapointed in current horsepower, strong engine but about 20 hp short of what kit suggests. Can anyone help me with this?
