Left Louieville this morn. 'bout 9, delivered in Saginaw just after 5, and got to go home for the nite. Once in the while I get lucky and get home during the week.

Was nice runnin' with you folks last Thursday. When I got off that exit by Marion, IN to feed my horse, you wasn't sure which truck I was. Told you it said SHORT in big letters on the side. Well, that wasn't quite right. About 95% of our trailers say that, but when I was at the fuel pumps, that trailer didn't say jack squat on the side. We got a few of 'em like that...

Sorry to hear your misfortune at Princeton, but I'm certain that ain't typical. You must be talkin' about Warren T. & his lil red Cockshutt. From what I've seen lately, he's doin' a heck of a job with it. He told me bring mine down to Leslie, so he could pull against me. I'm having 2nd thoughts now... I'm thinking he'll probably kick my tail, and I'll be mumbling to myself all the way back home. But if you could go down there, too, an' bring some of that cider & barley pop, it might not feel so bad... Got to thinkin' - it might blow everybody's mind if I said I was mostly Suthern. That's right, most of my relation is from Alabama. And from what I was told many moons ago, I had a great Uncle that was throwed in the pen for makin' some wild stuff out in the woods. Maybe if I searched real hard an' asked alot of questions, I could find that secrit recipe... & then we could procede an' make the stuff, an' tell some even bigger lies...
