Date Posted: 08/25/05 10:15:30pm In reply to: redpower 's message, "short power help" on 08/24/05 9:11:56pm The family & I are in N. Michigan on vacation, & Matthew (our youngest) brought his laptop with him. So here's my 2 cents worth... Ran the c.i. with a stock crank & figures just over 306". I figured if your compression was relatively high, you might be running about 70-75hp, with good spark and right timing. Got to thinking about a website that advertises 95hp stock stroke M kits. Have a friend that's running an M at about 390" or so, and he tells me he's at 92hp. I don't know how that guy with that website reads a dyno, and at what rpm. And I do wonder at times how that person can stay in business. With a compression ratio above 12 to 1, you may come within 5 to 10hp of that avertised mark, and even then, ignition, carburetion, timing & choice of fuel will have to be right on the money, especially if you expect good low end power... I wish you the best... [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
