We got back from Iowa early yesterday afternoon, after unloading those 32 thousand phonebooks from the W. side of Des Moines. Was going to leave back out again, but told dispatch I better stick around home for the rest of the day...

Sigourney was fun, and they tell me out there that's the 17th(?) year for that pull. Andrew says he wants to go back out there next year.

Andrew got to hook a Deere out there, too. He got an email about a week prior to Sigourney from Dave Wickman from Marion, IA. He has 2 JD B's, "Yellow Jacket" and the bigger "Double Trouble". He got to hook the bigger one, and did a real good job with it. The 1st place cone got moved ahead about a foot or so, but they said his distance was about 4" short. Doesn't matter much, he was pretty impressed with that B, and so was I. A big "Thank You" goes out to Dave & son Dustin. You made his day...& mine too...

That new camera sure likes batteries. Figured we had enough NiMH batteries to do the job out there, but had a hunch we better take both chargers along with us. Good thing we did, but that still wasn't enough. Had to make a run to the store out there during the pull & grab some backup Alkaline's - the chargers couldn't keep up. Used the flash most of the time and cold weather also takes a toll on batteries.

Uploaded the pictures to the computer last night. Most of them are pretty good. The low-light blur I used to have with the other camera doesn't seem to be there. But with the extensive amount of settings this new camera has, it'll take me some time to get a handle on things. I do have a bunch that are not so good. I'll figure that camera out more as time goes on... Anyway, there's something like 387 that I took out there...
