I was a spectator on Sundays Pull.I would like to say
I was disapointed in how things were run. From the stands you didn't know what
class you were pulling,it just seemed like the guys just got in line and hooked
up and pulled. I would like to bring a tractor for divison 1 some time but from
what I saw yesterday I don't know if I jump to it to fast. Jim

Jim, in your post you did not say WHY you weren't
able to follow what classes were pulling. Was it because it was not being
announced, the P.A. system was not loud or clear enough, the noise of the
tractors, the noise of the pocket pullers, what? I appreciate your posting your
discontent and we are always trying to improve our events for both the
spectators as well as the pullers. With this in mind, would you please let us
know what the specific problem was? On the track it is more organized than it
may look. The line up person has the sheets with the classes and pull order. I
would encourage you to bring a tractor and pull. See www.emtpa.org for the pull
schedule. Our club is not perfect, but we do strive to improve and most of all
we have a lot of fun!

I'm sorry that I didn't say why.The P.A. was load
enough when they did talk, but they should explain a little more what class is
being pulled, and talk alittle about the class and the puller if possible. Thanks

I guess that's partly my fault. Dan and I try to
announce as much as possible, but I wasn't there due to other commitments to
help. When you're announcing and people are checking results and lineups, etc.
It can get tough to focus on what you're doing, it really is a 2 person job.
It's also tough because Dan has his own tractor, I guest drive on occasion
(usually in the same classes as Dan which makes it even tougher), so we can't
keep it sounding as smooth as it actually is.Unfortunately, I can't promise
that I'll make it to Richmond next week, but I do intend to be at Imlay City.
Bring out a tractor, we do have a great time at it! These are a great bunch of
folks to spend an afternoon with.CP

Jim, thanks for the feedback! Dan's wife was filling
in as announcer as needed. Considering she had not done it before (and I
understand she had vowed never to do it), I appreciated the fact that she went
WAY out of her comfort zone when the pressure was on. THANK YOU Andrea! As a
new club, we are still in the process of cross learning as I myself spent a lot
of time on the grader tractor for the first time. In this way, we will be able
to better cover each other as the need arises and the quality of our show will
improve. Thanks again, Jim, for taking the time to comment!

Jim,We have also found that when we pull with the
little tractors around it makes it real tough. They were pulling on the side by
the announcing booth, which means if the mics are on, the crowd hears the noise
of open headers ampified as they go by.And in the booth after 5 hours you can't
hear yourself think.(it was also the second day in a row of being stuck
listening to it).In the future,it would be better to have the little guys pull
on the side away from the booth. We do appreatate the feedback,as Mark said,we
are trying to improve as we go.Thanks,Dan
