These engines like up to 3000 if they are in shape. If it is not in shape do not bother. Another idea would be to find one of the old supercharger kits used on some Kaiser (automobile) engines. Kaiser engines were Continentals. Beyond that spend some time adjusting and dialing it in on a dyno. Other secrets are air flow and compression.
