I got home about 4 hrs. ago. Patty was admitted yesterday afternoon while I was in Michigan enroute to Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Really wasn't any way to back out of that "double diamond" hazmat load - not all the drivers have the endorsement, or any drivers to relay it to. Dispatch made arrangements to have a trailer loaded and ready when I got down there, so I could drop & hook and get home. Of course, other than a "diesel cop" pulling me over near Coldwater, I didn't get delayed much. Only a log book warning - but we won't talk about comic books, OK? Good thing I didn't get stopped today...

Called her at the hospital last night, and again this morning. She "assured" me it wasn't that big a deal, but she always says that to keep me settled down -- but it didn't work this time, not by any stretch. I don't have a med. background, but the mention of cong. heart failure and/or blood clot just about just about stopped my ticker...

I called her again a little while ago, and said she will be discharged later this evening. I guess it was caught early enough, and didn't get too advanced...The doctor was right on top of it... I'm glad she has the doctor she has...
