Yeah, I've seen Bloodsucking Freaks. Pretty cool shlock. You're right; horror movies pretty much suck these days. Cabin Fever was okay. Not scary, but fun. Maybe we should make one. Got any cash? Any credit?
Definately the Kubrick shining. I never saw the other one, but I didn't need to. I could care less about Stephen King, but Kubrick made a damn scary flick. I love the Bartok soundtrack and some of the images are just amazing.
If you really like disturbing flicks, check these out (I already mentioned some of them)
Funny Games, Irreversible, I Stand Alone, Visitor Q, Dead or Alive, Ichi the Killer, Salo: 100 Days of Sodom, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.
