This email was sent to me:

Saw your post, Just wondering how your first months collections went? Also could you let me know about the advantages and disadvantages of these machines?
Thank a lot
Eric

Here is my quick answer:

I'll give you point form. But can expand on anything if you have any questions.

- locator services are a joke. not professional at all, just out to take your money. AVOID!! Her name is Connie, and she is a greedy joke. She located less locations than paid, but won't refund the money. One location had 3 employees and no walk in traffic. So she is just out for the money. She can't even spell correctly. Doesnt' explain to locations what the machine is (many thought a counter top display so we went to install for nothing). She was a joke. Professional my ass.

- first month 2300.00, 23.00/per machine (I have 100 placed, and 5 more for parts)
- second month 3200.00, 32.00/per machine (no where near what is needed or advertised)
- support virtually non existant from loonievend, but mention you want to buy some more machines, and you'll get a prompt reply.

quickie breakdown.
3200.00 brought in, 450.00 of that is tax leaving 2750.00, 1300.00 to refill machines leaving 1450.00, 300.00 to MADD canada leaving 1150.00, 150.00 for gas leaving 1000.00. Loan for 100 machines is 2000.00/month. So nowhere near the sales needed so far. I am moving dud locations to new locations, so over time it might get better.

Machines:
due to design, can't be placed where there is sunlight. Lots of lost locations, and ruined product.
take forever to service, have to take them all apart.
8 selections is useless. there aren't 8 products that sell for a loonie. (only cashews and chocolate covered almonds so far), a few locations jelly bellies sell a bit.
held back 5 machines for parts. Lots of replacing needed so far. broken containers, jammed turn knobs, and other problems.
large candy, (cashews and choc. almonds) always getting stuck. Have to dremmel holes larger or get constant calls machines are out of order.
freshness seal is useless due to way it is put on.
charity slot is virtually invisible. So not one donation in two months.
due to coin mechanism not being metal, fake loonies work in machines. We constantly get sholtens coffee tokens used in our machines successfully. Every 10 tokens I get a free coffee... 10.00 per cup. (Thick cut plastic in shape of loonie can work too).
I could go on, but will leave it at that. I am not sure there is any advantages to these machines so far.

A 4 selection machine would be better, but overall I can't recommend any of these machines. Now a better made machine, with gourmet nuts, chocolate covered almonds, that is easier to service, for a loonie, would probably work well. So not knocking the vending as a whole, just this company and their partners and the loonie vend machines. DO NOT buy these machines is my advice. Look for another loonie alternative.

Free for any questions you might have. Good luck to you.
