He lay in the tall grass, his rainbow pelt hiding him from immediate observation. However, as the brown rabbit lazily loped through a patch of grass, she found herself face to face with a wolf. Terrified, she skittered past without care of being seen by the other wolf that had just entered the clearing. The rabbit’s heart pounded as it made it safely into the den, still wondering if it was being pursued. But the rabbit wasn’t. In fact, as the rabbit darted away prevaricate lost interest to something much more amusing. His love had just entered the terrain and was steadily slowing, moving with ease and precision. He watched as her eyes followed the rabbit instinctually. His head lowered a fraction of an inch and he prayed she hadn’t noticed the motion. He wanted to watch her in all of her glory as she stood, paused and still, with the wind caressing her fur.

If he never came back again, he’d remember this mental picture forever. Without warning he stood, magically revealing himself to the fae. It was magic and just as astonishing as pulling a dove from his sleeve. The music reached its crescendo and he appearing before her seemingly effortless. With his legs now extended, he stood tall almost immediately in front of her. Hello there, dear.
