You are perhaps right, but I must disagree. GH had strong 'establishment' credentials with his earlier books -- "Lords of Poverty" and "Sign and the Seal". He had earlier worked for the Economist magazine covering the third world.

GH cashed in on that background to give a boost to the "Fingerprints of the Gods". It was on the TV show that aird in the US, the GH introduced to mass audiences the OCT.
