It's really quite simple

The Walls are a major step in Securing the "Crime Scene" as it were.

There are whole fields of Midden. Old Quarries filled with same...the Sphinx

Larger pieces piled and pushed willy nilly all over the place.

and

literally 1000's of theories that demand access for falsification and further discovery

all this will require a degree of planning and control unequaled in previous studies.

Once the whole site is secured...individual areas can be sequestered for intensive scientific intrusion.

These walls a a GOOD thing
