Subject: Geology

Rocks have been increasing interesting me since I started walking out along the river Tees again. I started taking more notice of the gravels and asked myself what they were, how old were they etc. To this end I've been reading up on the Geology of the North Pennines and the Tees Valley, and fascinating it is. I actually managed to find some fossilised sea creatures, look like ancient limpets and what looks like some worm like creature. The Rocks of the Upper Tees date mainly from the Carboniferous period, some 355-295 Ma old.

Besides trying to up my mood, that's been my main interest lately.

Cheers

Ian
