Is your target of December 12th, 2012, explicitly due to the Mayan calendar?

I think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed when the world doesn't end on 12/12/12 just as they were on 05/05/05...

You're too smart to buy into that crap, and our generation isn't nearly significant enough to experience what the others who have come before us have not. We're significance junkies as humans....in every generation, there has always been that reason to believe "this is the end".
