Hi Fuzzy other than The Mayan calender which points to this date as the end of their present era there are also the prophecies of Daniel and David and mainly of course Revelation.

Read it carefully and you will notice that man will be given a chance to open The Book of Life and knowledge and study it for a 1000 years. Those who still refuse the believe in God after that time will be punished maybe even destroyed and those that do accept will be rewarded with paradise on Earth, and of course along with this 144,000 will return to the heavens to serve on the right hand side of, and with, God.

I happen to believe that it is possible that the book was actually opened in 1012 AD and that we are actually at the tail end of the 1000 years of study and that soon the supposed wicked will be destroyed (not necessaraily killed) we will return to paradise (possible simply a rem state)and I will leave it to you to ponder where the 144,000 might end up.

As to your question about what happens if ... it is not relevant. It is like asking me what will I do if The Sun does not rise tomorrow. It is inevitable and soon you will see it as well Fuzzy.

And if the sun does not rise tomorrow and I am wrong ... well I honestly do not know what I will do as my entire life has been funnelling toward this date and my place in time within it.
