Subject: I found hundreds of lava tubes on the western slope of mt shasta

Last weekend.... I went hiking in a remote area of mt shasta on the western side. No towns exist there, just acres of grazeland for cattle. About a quarter of the way up the slope I spotted what appeared to be hundreds of lava tubes of all different sizes and depths. I don't have the proper equipment to go deep in the tunnels because I cannot afford it as of yet, but I do improvise. I bought 500 feet of monofilimaent fishing line. About 100 pound test, and hooked the reel on the back of my backpack. I tied the monofilimant on a huge boulfer outside the lava tube and entered one of the tunnels. I have a 200 dollar pair of timberlind hking boots and a motorcycle helmut just in case stalagtites loosing from the ceiling and fall down on my head. The monofiliment was used so I could find my way back. The underworld is a creepy place and I just happenede to see the movie, the "hills have eyes 2" the night before and was scared shit!!! Lol....

It was a great experience and the earths interior is just absoutlely magnificent. I didn't go in that deep because hundreds of bat were upside down sleeping on the walls and I didn't want to wake them up. There are also legends of creatures called derso in the caves of mt shasta and I wasn't armed. I didn't want to lug my 12 gauge shotgun around. I just ordered a 9 millimeter Baretta and should get it next week. Its light and I can put it in a holster either sround my ankle or my hip.

If I had enough line and the proper ropes, I could have went in for miles......

I have to buy the proper equpiment. These particular lava tubes have not been checked yet and not on any maps so its dangerous, especially with mountian lions and bears that might use these tubes as habitates.

I'm going this saturday to check out the limestone grotto caves on the south west corner..... the park ranger said that there is really clean super clear natural aquifers in those limestone caves that give off a green hue......

This is the area that James rutherford mentioned in his dairies back in 1907, that he found lemurian temples, swords, breatplates and records written on the cave walls......

I will keep you abreast of any finds....

By the way, A triangular shaped boomarang looking UFO was spotted on the ski bowl on top of mt shasta on sunday night by dozens of campers. It should be in the MUFON journal in next months issue...
